Affiliate Marketing Decoded: Your Blueprint to Passive Income Success

As a mom I have always wanted to create ways to make passive income and be able to be free and work from anywhere. If you have read my previous blogs then you know I have tried just about anything. My blog, getting into affiliate marketing with my blog and logistics have been my favorite for a while now. I'm able to create an income without having to do much with both. But with affiliate marketing I am more free and I can generate income while I'm sleep.

What is Affiliate Marketing? Affiliate marketing is a form of online marketing in which affiliates (companies) pay publishers (bloggers) in exchange for promoting their product or service. Unique to affiliate marketing is that the publisher is paid per sale (commission).

Affiliate marketing means that you promote a product or service of a company in exchange for money. This could be because you have a website, blog, Instagram account, or Youtube channel. With affiliate marketing, you do not need to have your own product or service. You become a partner of companies and can start promoting their products or services for a commission per sale.

How does it work? With affiliate marketing you place affiliate links of products or services in your YouTube video description, between the articles on your website, or in the description of a photo on Instagram.

You may even be setting up email campaigns containing affiliate links. When people click on your unique affiliate link, a (not visible) cookie is placed in the browser. This way the selling party knows that you have referred this person.

Here are are some ways you too can get into affiliate marketing. First thing you can do is create a blog or Pinterest or TIKTOK business account. If you choose a blog you can create blog post on products that you like and when people click or buy you will get a commission. Promote the products on social media, send your audience to your blog. Stay consistent and the people will come. For Pinterest do the same. Create Idea Pins and add the link to the product. Post at least 3 times a day, the same with TIKTOK. With TIKTOK you can also find your niche and post according to that. Just as you would your blog or Pinterest.
